For the field of management, a
transactional leader affects the follower's motivation by exchanging awards and
the establishment of an atmosphere in which there is a perception of closer
connections between efforts and desired outcomes. The effective leader, in our
field, according to the transactional approach criteria is manifested as the
leader who diagnoses, identifying exactly the needs and expectations of their
subordinates and respond to them accordingly.
In our field the transactional theories are manifested through the effects of leader behavior on follower’s knowledge, motivation and performance. The transactional leadership is presented by way of exchange of rewards, and corrective or constructive discipline.

Leadership ability is among the most
requested and required attitude, the same that can be grown but, according to Robbins,
is part of the individual personality. How to know if our managers are
configured as leaders and how to develop these skills in our person? Is a topic
of much debate and study, but we need to find out if we have some leaders and
what do we lack to achieve so.
A leadership applicable
classification that can be applied to our field is formally representing the
address of a working group or designated officially, another less obvious is
the recognition by the members of an informal institution that has great
influence, but in a free, non remunerative and charismatic way.
